What's cute and silly and red all over?

Eleven days following her MMR vaccine and Kate has developed a rash on her torso and limbs. The doctor's office told me it is just a side effect of the shot and not to worry about it unless it lasts longer than 5 days.

When it first appeared last night I looked everywhere online for pictures of what "the side effect rash" would look like. I found nothing. Just in case there's another worried parent out there searching...this is what it looks like.

Thank you for posting that picture. I've been looking for pics of rashes on toddlers and this was the first one I found! Imagine that. I hope your daughter's rash cleared up quickly.

Thanks a bunch for posting that picture. My daughter had the MMR vaccine 10 days ago and today she's spiked a fever of 102.5 and has the little red bumps on her chest and back...looks just like the ones in the pic of your daughter. I've been searching for a picture of what the side effect rash looks like, and thanks to you..I've got a very good idea.

Thank You. My son had his MMR vaccine 10 days ago and just broke out in a similar rash. The only picture that came up under reaction to MMR vaccine was your little girl!! Thanks

Thank you so much for the information and picture. I thought that my son had Chicken Pox. He had the MMR shot exactly 10 days ago. You made my day a lot less stressful.

Thanks Jean-Marie! My husband and I just had our scare and this was the only picture that showed up in our search. Our daughter never had a reaction to the MMR, but our son did. Thanks again for relieving some stress out of our day!

Thanks for posting the picture. My daughter received the shot 10 days ago and now has a rash that looks just like your daughters. Thanks for showing a picture of what it looks like. You put my mind at ease.

Thank you so much for posting this picture! We've looked everywhere for pictures of what the rash following the shot looks like, and this is the only one we've found. Our son's rash looks just like this, and the picture really eased our minds! God Bless!
